This time I was using Raynox Macro filter to photograph macro insect. Attached with my 50mm f1.8 and some help with external flash Canon 430. Other than focus at magnification between the real object, the depth of field is also an important consideration in macro photography. This will makes it essential to focus critically on the most important part of the subject, or in other word, we called this a Bokeh. Bokeh was so awesome right? Hehe.

Click here to see some others dude that had been macro by me :D

A’Famosa Melaka

April 16, 2008

MelakaWednesday – April 16, 2008
Behind the Scene:
Wednesday means holiday. Yeahh~. Actually, Wednesday is my FYP day. But seems I was so lazy to do my FYP, I went to A’famosa that located nearby Bandar Melaka to shoot some architecture and people.

But somehow, when I got there, mood of taking people picture flew away. I did not feel the interesting over there. So I decided just taking some architecture may be just enough. So here is some picture I want to share with you guys. Take a time to look at it :)
More picture at my Facebook Album.

Behind the Scene:

It’s happened when I got this big lollipop for free and feel it was a waste if I not photograph it. But it seems like I have a really busy day and lazy to think some creative idea to put with this big lollipop. That’s why I just make self portrait of me with that big lollipop. Edited used RAW technique. Try to make it look like HDR.

See it at Flickr too. :D

Carnation in RED

April 6, 2008

Bukit Beruang, Melaka
Sunday – April 06, 2008
Behind the Scene:
Flower in white room again. Aha. But last time it was a Rose. This time a red Carnation will be the model. As usual, first I need to setup white background. Use a bottle to grip that carnation. Then use 50mm f1.8 lens. So that how I got such bokeh over there. Then use Photoshop to put some border and light up some color. That’s all I had been done and here is the result.

Carnation definition:
The meanings of carnations include fascination, distinction, and love. Like many other flowers, different messages can also be expressed with the flower’s different color varieties. Light red carnations, for example, are often used to convey admiration; In addition they mean grace, gentility, joy and perfect happiness, whereas the dark red version expresses deeper sentiments of love and affection. White carnations are associated with purity and luck, and pink carnations are often given as a sign of gratitude. In the early part of the 20th century, carnations became the official flower of Mother’s Day in addition finding particular significance in many other cultures worldwide. To this day, carnations remain a favorite flower choice for many different occasions. They are immediately recognizable flowers, and they possess a charm and allure that continues to captivate people around the globe. In fact, in many parts of the world, the popularity of carnations surpasses that of any other flower including roses. The powerful sentiments these flowers can express are a perfect complement to their classic beauty and long-lasting freshness. By retaining its status as a floral mainstay for such a long time, the carnation has proven itself to be a lasting flower in more ways than one.
